Employee of the Month Award November 2018

Our Employee of the Month Award November 2018 is Andy Brown.

Chargehand Andy Brown was hailed as our special employee after his continually positive attitude of saying “yes” to everything… or is it never saying “no”!

Some of us might have wondered why Andy has received such a prestigious award when we’d not seen him around HQ lately. During October, Andy had rarely set foot in the factory, as he has been working on site installations. He spent 11 days on the trot working away on site and sometimes late into the evening.

Here's another great example of Andy never saying no...he will shortly be fitting our new kitchen for us!

So for that Andy, and your dedication to the company, we thank you and hope that you enjoy your bottle of wine during some quality “me” time that is well deserving.

So let’s find out a little more about Andy…

How long have you been working for Thinking Space and what is your role?

I joined the company 11 years ago when Thinking Space operated out of the barns. So it’s a lot more comfortable working here now! I am employed as Lead Chargehand and I have also been a supervisor over the years. I have attended many a site installation worldwide and love the challenges that working on site brings…and the problems I can solve.

So what do you look forward to after a long day installing on site?

A nice cold beer

When you’re not installing, what is your favourite sporting pastime?

Anyone who knows me will know this…RUGBY !

If you were marooned on a desert island with one celebrity, who would you choose, and why?

George Mallory (the Expeditionary). I would want to see whether or not he reached the summit of mount Everest.

What are you looking forward to most in 2019?

The Wickham Festival. No doubt they’ll be beer there!
