Considered Design
The management of cabling within the furniture is an essential consideration of the design. Understanding the wider electrical and data plans for the workspace ensures that the furniture falls inline with the overall solution.
All Thinking Space consoles includes a cable management void at the rear of the desks. This can be full height or raised from the floor (floating void). This void includes the cable management for the desks and can be accessed via push-release or lockable panels. Access can be from the front or the rear. The void is always open at the base to allow cabling to come from below via floor boxes or floor grommets. Alternatively apertures can be built into the desk to accept cabling from the wall or dropped from above.
Cable Management Void
By using the Core Assembly System for each build, a clear void is created throughout the console from left to right with no bulkheads or obstructions to contend with. There is plenty of space to store your PC towers here.
The void contains a series of cable management baskets and trays for the tidy routing of cables. These are supplied as standard and can be adjusted horizontally or vertically, giving you complete flexibility when accommodating your equipment.
Desktop Cable Management
As well as managing the cabling within the desks, the management of cabling from desktop equipment should be considered.
Thinking Space offer monitor mounting arms with integral cable management solutions. The arms fit directly, or via columns, that fit to the Moni-trak rail. This system includes continuous brush-strip allowing cabling to drop into the cable management below at any point, rather than via a limited grommet location.
Customised Solutions
As part of the wider power and data design, Thinking Space can offer customised cable management solutions within the furniture.
Three compartment trunking can be fitted within the desk to provide enclosed cable management. Open cable basket and cable tray can be vertically or horizontally within the equipment void as required.
Height Adjustable Consoles
Caterpillar track cable management is provided for all height adjustable consoles. Cables are routed from the cable trays through the caterpillar track and up to the work surface via the Moni-Trak. This routing avoids the snagging of cables during desk movement, keeping your cable safe and intact.
