We’ve been hearing about Ted’s regal treat when he accompanied Connor to the Isle of Wight.
A short hop across the Solent from Southampton to Cowes was followed by a walk up to Osbourne House. The palatial home of former royal resident Queen Victoria and Prince Albert is now in the care of English Heritage, and open to the public for viewing.
Connor took Ted for a stroll around the Italian renaissance-inspired royal home that was once used as a bolthole to escape the stresses of court life. Taking in the rooms, gardens and grounds in peace and tranquillity, it was easy to slip back in time. Thankfully our mascot behaved himself impeccably, minding the ornate furnishing and priceless artefacts from The Royal Collection. Phew!
