Understanding your requirements
From your initial enquiry, one of our experienced sales specialists will work with you to understand your requirements. Either working from plans or further to a site survey, the team will review the physical considerations and constraints and look to make the best use of space. We prioritise your company’s interests, understanding operators’ roles, workflows, and technological needs to craft a tailored design. Our goal is an ergonomic, productive control room where operators thrive during demanding shifts.
Watch our video which explains the journey from your initial enquiry to design, manufacturing and finally installation of your bespoke control room console.
Our In-House Expertise
Our team of highly skilled control room design consultants work with the sales specialist to create high quality sales proposal drawings using AutoCad Inventor. Small teams focus on a specific sector to understand the challenges faced in control rooms. This allows them to propose a workable solution for you.
All drawings provide eye levels, viewing angles and propose ergonomic solutions. From sales proposal drawings to comprehensive site drawings and highly detailed technical models for manufacturing your furniture, our design process and the technology used reduces lead times and ensures accuracy at all stages.

Conforming to Standards and Compliance
It is the objective of all Thinking Space room layouts and furniture designs to meet the criteria of improving the operators’ working environment. Considering modern ergonomics and following guidelines within ISO 11064, all designs will seek to conform with the applicable standards.
The process involves working with the client to create potential designs, that fulfil their operational needs in the space available. Any areas that fall outside of recommended guidelines are highlighted for further discussion.
Technical Proposal Drawings
Further to the design consultation, the Thinking Space design team will produce two drawing types as part of the proposal process.
Firstly, technical layout drawings of the room space and furniture included are provided. These detail key distances, dimensions and viewing angles to demonstrate compliance to standard or potential challenges to address.
Secondly, high quality 3D rendered images are provided for visualising the proposed furniture within the space identified. Finishes, brands and key features can be included to make the drawings as realistic as possible.
Realising your designs
The same 3D models that created the rendered proposal designs are used to produce the approval and manufacturing drawings of your furniture. This continual design process provides an audit trail of your furniture’s development through to realisation.
Under the guidance of one of our Project Managers, your furniture journey will progress through from sales, to approval, to being manufactured in the factory. On completion you will be given the opportunity to visit for your own inspection ahead of the installation stage.
