We were honoured to exhibit at another Amulet Innovation Day, this time at London Zoo, a distinctive industry event bringing together security professionals, technology partners and thought leaders to explore the latest developments in safety, resilience, and innovation.

Thinking Space was represented by Neil Walker, our Sales representative for the South, who joined attendees for a well-structured and engaging day that combined insight, discussion, and hands-on demonstrations in a truly memorable setting.

The day began with arrival and registration, followed by event introductions and a keynote speech from Figen Murray, mother of Martyn Hett, tragically killed in the Manchester Arena attack. Her campaigning was instrumental in driving forward the legislation, The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, also known as Martyn’s Law, which delivers the Government’s manifesto commitment to strengthen the security of public premises and events.

The Act received Royal Assent in April 2025. A minimum 24-month transition period is expected, during which statutory guidance and enforcement arrangements will be finalised, with the law anticipated to come fully into effect around mid‑2027. Like many in the industry, we are closely monitoring the development of the Act so we can support customers in preparing for compliance once it is implemented.

Following the keynote speech, the event moved into meetings with supply partners, alongside live demonstrations showcasing the latest innovative security technologies shaping the future of protective environments. Neil was able to demonstrate one of our height adjustable security control consoles to a number of interested parties on the day. A networking lunch provided further opportunity for informal discussion before another highlight of the day – a guided tour of London Zoo.

The tour offered a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at this iconic venue, with memorable highlights including the penguins and gorillas, providing a relaxed and engaging backdrop for informal conversation and reflection on the day’s themes. The event concluded with final remarks and networking, rounding off a highly informative and enjoyable experience.
